This summer, you can help your family make the most of their time away from the classroom. The Summer Success Coaching programme can help your children enjoy a fulfilling and rejuvenating break and also make tangible progress towards their academic and life goals.

This programme from the award-winning consultancy Tougher Minds covers the following:

  • Academic subjects: build on strengths and address weaknesses to hit the ground running in September.
  • Sports and fitness: develop habits that help develop skills and readiness for the seasons ahead.
  • Well-being and lifestyle: get up, get out and enjoy the chance for sunshine and fresh air.
  • Music and the arts: progress through practice and achieve your potential.
  • University and Careers: plan in advance to enrich your application through wider reading, work experience and deliberate reflection – particularly vital for competitive courses such as Oxbridge, medicine and law.

Understand Resilience and Boost Motivation: The A.P.E. Brain H.A.C.®
Learn how the brain works, why life can be stressful, what it means to be resilient, plus simple and practical ways to boost motivation to help achieve long term goals. We use case studies from Henry Ford, JK Rowling, Warren Buffet, the Williams sisters and more to show you how to harness your Me Power®, and take the first step towards becoming your best.
How to Build Better Habits
Learn how habits work, and how to swap unhelpful habits for better ones. We show why it is essential to improve diet, exercise and sleep habits to make your brain work properly. Learn how to begin making small positive changes that will help you to be your best. We use insights from examples including tennis legend Novak Djokovic.
Boost Productivity and Creativity: Manage your energy levels by using your time efficiently and effectively
The A.P.E. Brain® and H.U.E.® make us procrastinate on tasks that don’t give immediate rewards. Then when we miss a deadline, or don’t do our best work, they tell us we are useless. Learn how to build better productivity habits from Charles Darwin and Sir Bradley Wiggins. We show how to use the Will Power StoryTM tool so you take more control of your life.
Reduce Stress and Build Confidence
Unhelpful levels of stress can be demotivating, and can stop you fulfilling your potential. This session shows what causes stress, how your body and brain respond, and how confidence can be used to manage stress. This session will also show simple and practical confidence management skills that will improve confidence levels, even in the most challenging areas of work and life. Learn how Olympic champion Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill took control of her confidence, and how you can use Tougher Minds’ K.O.S.Y.® and F.A.B.® confidence techniques to make life easier.

Other support provided during the Summer Success Coaching programme:

One-to-one and small group coaching
Coaching to help participants refine their skills and secure new habits.
Personal Development Plan portfolio
A physical portfolio document that will guide participants through the programme, and their personal development activities. One provided with the standard package.
Performance Planner
A daily self-watching tool, that allows participants to measure and monitor their daily behaviour, and make it easier to build new beneficial habits individually and collectively. Four planners provided with the standard package.
Willpower Boosters
Participants receive regular Willpower Boosters, or ‘triggers’, to help them to maintain their training, and develop new beneficial habits. Willpower Boosters will be tapered, reducing in volume as new habits are established.

ii. Daily 10 minute planning and reflection tasks to build better habits

iii. Online Q&A session with Andrew Foster

Week 2 to 9 (w/c Monday 9th July – w/c Monday 27th August)

i. Four one-to-one online coaching sessions with Andrew Foster – select the times and days that best suit you and your family. Tougher Minds insights to be covered in each session:

– How to Build Better Habits
– Boost Productivity and Creativity
– Reduce Stress and Build Confidence

ii. Daily 10 minute planning and reflection tasks to build better habits

i. Live online September Success event: choose from Tuesday 4th, Wednesday 5th or Thursday 6th September. Take summer’s achievements into the new academic year.
ii. Final Q&A session with Andrew Foster – resolve your queries and make sure you and your family are all set for September and beyond.
