Hey, Dr. Jon Finn here. If you have a team, if you want to get more out of your team, if you want to help them to be at their best, keep listening.

I’m inside The Habit Mechanic Book . Into step four, which is the Chief Habit Mechanic section. And in chapter 28 is the first time I introduce our, what we call our team power model, our five-stage team power model.

So this is our team metaphor. We’re about 15 years to build this model up based on my experiences of, of working in high performing teams.

So it maps out the five core things that I see consistently high performing teams getting right. Umm, and there’s a self-assessment tool in here that you can use as a leader to think about how good you are at getting these five things working in your team and there’s also a team version so you can ask

You are team members to answer those same questions. Umm so it’s called the team power builder tool. But the five elements just to give a quick overview.

Number one is what we call me power conditioning. So the first thing we need to get right. If you want to have high performing team is people deliberately turning up and being at their best.

In other words becoming being habit mechanics. The second thing we need to get right is we need to have what we call the community base camp set up really well so that people understand what the mission is.

They understand what the strategy is. They’ve they’ve bought into their roles and responsibilities. They’re they’re empowered and self-determined in what what you know they need to do every day.

Then we’ve got group climbing support which is about uhm how. We support each other every day both in what we do and what we say.

Then we’ve got what we call campfire discussions which is about um coaching and mentoring and you know recognizing that because the world is changing so quickly that all of us.

We just have to keep up skilling and getting better in a very deliberate way and then fives what we call the group climate review so we can check back in with the things that we set out in the community base camp and make sure everything is working as it should be.

So. There are five things you can think about if you want to supercharge your team’s performance and you can go through that step-by-step in Chapter 25 of the Habit Mechanic book so that’s how you can start to quickly supercharge your- team’s performance.
